Historics cancels Monaco Sale on 23rd April

Continuing pandemic issues in the UK and overseas prompt decision

Historics Auctioneers has announced the cancellation of its live collector car auction scheduled in Monaco on Friday, 23rd April. The decision was made as restrictions are set to remain in force for some time to come, potentially jeopardising international travel, and with Covid-19 cases still on the increase on the French Riviera.

Commenting on the decision, Historics’ founder and Managing Director, Mark Perkins said:
“We are most disappointed to have to make this decision. There is too much uncertainty whether a major public event such as ours will be permitted in Monaco on the day in question and whether, indeed, it would be appropriate under the circumstances.”

Timed to coincide with the Monaco Historic F1 Grand Prix weekend, the Historics auction was to feature 120 varied classics within which were significant collector car consignments. “We are disappointed too for those consigning to the sale and for our myriad supporters”, added Mark Perkins. “We will be announcing further news in due course and in the meantime, we are continuing to prepare for our next UK sale, at Ascot Racecourse on 20th March.”

The very varied classics consigned to the March sale can be viewed here:
