There is no shortage of captivating classics being consigned to Historics 10th Anniversary Grand Summer Sale on 18th July…
Well up there at the top of the ratings for performance has to be the fastest-ever Aston Martin road car ever produced in its day. That moniker is proudly held by the Vanquish S, which, propelled by its 6-litre, 595bhp V12, is capable of hitting 201mph.
Of the 1,086 built is a fine 2005 example that comes to sale on 18th July, striking in its ultra-rare and original ‘Morning Frost’ coachwork. It has unique additional appeal due to the fact that reportedly it was originally specified for and driven by Dr. Ulrich Bez, the CEO of Aston Martin at the time. It was utilised as a press car and was extensively featured and photographed whilst in that role.
Incidentally, under Bez’s leadership Aston Martin developed into a global luxury brand, selling more than 50,000 cars in the 13 years he led the company, more than three times the number sold from 1913 to 2000.
