Slumbering BMW bursts back to life…at no reserve

BMW aficionados are sure to be drooling at the 1972 BMW 3.0 CSi, offered seductively without reserve

It has travelled an average of less than 1,500 a year since new but the real gold dust in this one family-owned car is in its provenance… Fully professionally-restored in 1989/90 – complete with a fresh Connolly hide re-trim – it was laid up in 2009 and was found resting in a heated garage of the vendor surrounded by boxes.

Despite its ten year slumber, this most elegant of BMW’s required nothing more than a new battery and fluids, for the lusty 3-litre straight six to burst into life. Now with a fresh MoT and excellent history file, this landmark BMW model – which became the basis of BMW Motorsport’s amazing success record with the 3.0 CSL ‘Batmobile’ - will surely attract huge interest….and doubtless a very happy new owner.
