Examples of the AC Cobra are a regular sight at Historics auctions but few have the unique appeal of this 19-year old. It is one of only two such RHD models ever produced by the AC factory and, when it comes to bragging rights, it has it all as in its day this was the fastest-accelerating production car on the road.
Within the single-piece carbon fibre tub – a major difference in its own right from ‘traditional’ Cobras - nestles a 3.5 litre twin turbo Lotus V8 engine developing 350bhp, delivered to the road via a six speed Tremec manual gearbox.
Weighing in at just 900kg thanks to the ultra-light, ultra-strong carbon fibre construction, performance is stupendous. This car has been maintained regardless of cost and presents in superb condition throughout. This is a tremendously significant car within AC history and is sure to be much sought after.
