|Odometer reading||1,930 miles|
DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL, THIS LOT HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN FROM THE AUCTION
Matchless is one of the oldest British motorcycles marques, manufactured in London between 1899 and 1966. A wide range of models were produced under the Matchless name, ranging from small two-stroke engines to 750cc four-stroke twin cylinder models. Matchless had a long history of racing success; one ridden by Charlie Collier won the first single-cylinder race in the first Isle of Man TT in 1907.
Originally registered on 1st June 1961 this Matchless presents in delightful condition. Having formed part of a private collection in recent years, this motorcycle has only had four keepers in total from new. Supplied with a V5C registration document we are advised this motorcycle is in good running order and will be presented for an MoT test prior to the auction.
Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each Lot prior to the sale. All registration numbers, engine and chassis details are sourced from registration documents provided to Historics by the client or representative or HPI checks and buyers are to satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of these details. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
