The Porsche 993 was introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 964 generation of the iconic 911 model and was built until 1998. Regarded by many as the best generation of 911s ever produced from Stuttgart, this car was the last to use the air-cooled flat-six engine that had powered 911s for the previous thirty years. The 993 was offered in a number of guises and specifications during its production life including two and four-wheel drive trains, known as Carrera and Carrera 4 respectively. The 993 was the first generation 911 to have standard six-speed manual transmission. The Carrera, Carrera S, Cabriolet and Targa models (two-wheel drive) were also available with a Tiptronic four-speed automatic transmission which was first introduced in the 964.

First delivered to Glenvarigill Porsche on 23rd March 1996, this fantastic 911 has led a pampered life. Ordered in Porsche in Midnight Blue metallic and with optional extras including 17” ‘New Cup’ design wheels, top tinted windscreen, rear wiper and sunroof. Unchanged from its factory ordered specification, this must be one of the best examples in existence. The car’s history file shows all but one MoT test certificate from 2005 onwards, as well many receipts for maintenance carried out by well-regarded Porsche specialists as well as Porsche themselves. The included service book shows no less than 24 stamps in it, with another to be added before the auction. Since 2009, the car has been serviced with Porsche West Byfleet every year and was maintained by the likes of Paragon, Jaz and Northway Porsche prior. Supplied with a fresh MoT test certificate valid until October 2024, the car has covered just 10,656 miles in the vendor’s 14-year ownership. Reported to run and drive just as you would expect a car of its pedigree to, it is now only being sold to thin out his collection.

Supplied with V5C registration document, MoT test certificate valid until October 2024, service history file, service book along with all its handbooks in their original leather booklet case and previous MoT test certificates. This is a rare opportunity to own an unmodified, well optioned, manual example of this design classic, that was the evolutionary pinnacle of Porsche’s legendary air-cooled flat-six.

Interested parties should note that during the car’s service at Porsche Byfleet last month, a slight weep to one of the front shock absorbers was noted along with the rear lid gas struts were weakening. The vendor had Porsche Byfleet fit two new front shock absorbers as well as rear lid gas struts. The car was MoT’d at the same time. Please also note that the registration shown in the video does not come with the car. The car is sold with the registration P947 RBP.
