This superb example was originally built as a 1.1XL model in 1989 but was converted to Rallye restomod build in 2020, complete with a rebuilt TU5J40 106 GTI engine fitted. It offers a track-ready interior, stripped of all unnecessary weight and equipped with reclining part leather bucket seats, a bolt-in rear roll cage with harness and an OMP three-spoke suede steering wheel. Finished in white and adorned with Rallye decals, equipped with 14inch Speedline pepperpot alloy wheels, all four of which offer excellent finishes and plenty of tyre tread left to enjoy! It has a 205 GTI dashboard which was installed in 2020. The engine was subject to a rebuild, with new rings, pistons, valves, stem seals, a new head gasket and a new oil pump. It has Citroen DS3 brake calipers and 266 mm discs for additional stopping power! Its exhaust system is a custom Piper exhaust and manifold, with a Ramair air filter and inlet fitted. The car comes with a V5C document, a breakdown of the work completed in 2020 by a previous owner and an invoice detailing considerable recent repairs, including new wiring, new lower arms, a new CV boot and more. It has recently been serviced and comes with MoT test certificate which expires in April 2024. Great fun!
