The Bentley Turbo RT was the last, most powerful and most expensive of the Turbo R line. Introduced in 1997, the Bentley RT came with the 400bhp turbo, 6.75 litre V8 engine from the Bentley two-door Continental T. It differentiates visually from other Bentley Turbo R models by its sport wheels, colour-coded grille slats and colour-coded bumpers. Performance was considered 'sufficient' with a top speed limited to 150mph! The car's base price was £132,000, being approximately £40,000 more than the Turbo R and was manufactured during 1997 and 1998 with just 252 units being produced.

This good 1997 Bentley Turbo RT was supplied new by a Bentley main dealer in Cardiff, South Wales. They then serviced and looked after the car until 2008. Purchased by the current owner in 2015, the head gaskets were replaced in July of the same year. In 2017 it was sent to a body and paint specialist where after having any bodywork repaired as necessary it was completely repainted in the original colour of Peacock Blue. The original Parchment leather interior is in very good condition throughout, and this car has the rear picnic tables on the back of the front seats. This good Turbo RT is supplied with a V5 registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in July 2024, the original owners handbook and service book and a file containing invoices and old MoT test certificates. These late special edition Bentleys are enormous value for money and with such low numbers produced, are becoming very sought-after.

Interested parties should note that since the MoT test certificate wa completed in July 2023 the engine management light has come on and the following is the report from Phantom Motor Cars.
‘Scan diagnostics. Fault is Barometric pressure sensor fault. Clear fault code and re-test. Fault returns. Swap engine ECU with our test ECU. Engine warning light remains extinguished.’ Car requires new Engine ECU.
