  • Sizeable history file
  • A rare UK supplied left hand drive example

Understood to be a UK-ordered but left hand drive example, purchased from Dovercourt Volkswagen in London, it has a rare specification in that it is a five-door car with a full leather interior, plus air conditioning, electric windows and mirrors, ABS brakes, and with no sunroof. This example has more recently been fitted with a full stainless steel Miltek exhaust, Koni coilover suspension, 16” steel wheels and an Alpine stereo. Accompanying the vehicle is a specification sheet, which is also transcribed below.

The brilliant black paintwork is in good condition overall, with only minor blemishes and the interior and black leather is good, showing modest wear for its age and mileage. The vendor notes that the air conditioning needs re-gassing and the central locking system is faulty but otherwise there are no known faults. Recently treated to a fresh MoT test certificate, this GTi is offered with a history file including various booklets, the service book featuring many stamps, previous MoT test certificates, and a handful of receipts for parts from Volkswagen specialist, The Phirm and The Heritage Parts Centre covering the last few years. Offered without reserve, this Classic GTi is ready for its new custodian and is an opportunity not to be missed.
