- The sixth from last classic shape Mini manufactured
The Mini was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors from 1959 until 2000. The original Mini was, of course, considered a British icon of the 1960’s with its space-saving front-wheel drive layout allowing a large percentage of the car's floorpan to be used for passengers and luggage, this influenced a generation of car makers and started the rush to create the best small family car. The Mini Cooper Sport had a front-mounted radiator, driver's airbag and was only produced from March to October 2000. It could be distinguished from earlier 'Sport Pack' equipped Coopers by its platinum roof and bonnet stripes. The model's widened wheel arches housed 13"x6" alloy wheels while inside it featured an alloy dashboard as well as alloy window winders, door pulls and door handles.
Originally registered on 31st May 2001 this Mini Cooper Sport 500 is in delightful condition. The British Racing Green paintwork is in very good order for the year as is the interior. The chrome bumpers front and rear are also in good condition, clearly this has been a very well looked after car. The history file dates back to the point of first registration and the original service books are supplied. The car has had a recent service together with some recommissioning expense. This Cooper Sport 500 is actually the sixth from last classic shape Mini ever produced. Supplied with a V5C registration document together with a current MoT test certificate valid until 29th June 2024, a Certificate of Authenticity and two sets of keys. This is a wonderful classic British Sports car with great pedigree.
