The Mercedes-Benz 722 Edition refers to a limited-edition variant of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren supercar. It was introduced in 2007 to commemorate the historic victory of Stirling Moss and his co-driver Denis Jenkinson in the 1955 Mille Miglia race, where they drove a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR with the race number 722. The SLR McLaren 722 Edition was a more focused and performance-oriented version of the standard SLR. It featured several enhancements over the base model, including increased engine power, improved aerodynamics, revised suspension tuning, and weight reduction measures.

Under the bonnet, the 722 Edition retained the same 5.4 litre supercharged V8 engine found in the standard SLR McLaren, but power was increased to 650 horsepower (vs. 617 horsepower in the base model). It also featured a recalibrated transmission for quicker shifts and improved acceleration. Visually, the 722 Edition had a more aggressive appearance, with revised front and rear bumpers, a larger rear diffuser, and a fixed rear spoiler for improved aerodynamics. It rode on lightweight forged aluminium wheels and featured larger carbon ceramic brakes for enhanced stopping power.

The interior of the 722 Edition received sportier touches, such as carbon fibre trim, Alcantara upholstery, and unique badging to differentiate it from the standard model. It provided a luxurious and performance-oriented driving environment. Overall, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Edition was a highly sought-after and exclusive supercar, limited to a production run of only 150 units worldwide. Its enhanced performance and unique design elements made it a desirable choice for automotive enthusiasts and collectors alike.

This fabulous example is presented in dark metallic silver with a black leather/Alcantara interior and red stitching to the specification listed above. It comes with a full Mercedes-Benz service history and also comes with all its book packs.
