  • The holy grail of Morgan ownership
  • The most desirable specification

Power for Morgan’s 5th generation Aero 8 came from a BMW-sourced 4.8 litre V-8 engine, capable of 367bhp and 370 foot-pounds of torque, which by modern standards may seem unremarkable. However, when paired to a bonded aluminium chassis that resulted in a curb weight of just 1,180 kg, the performance was anything but: 0-100km/h in roughly 4.5 seconds and a top speed in excess of 273km/h. Without question, the prettiest car the Morgan factory has ever produced and with a power plant to pack a suitable punch too, the Morgan Aero 8 has been heralded as one of the best-looking British cars ever made - and rightly so. Powered by a 4.8 BMW V8 with an automatic gearbox, these rare machines are highly sought-after and rarely come to market - not least with specifications like this car.

Registered new on 6th March 2019, this exceptional example is in as new condition throughout having only covered 104 miles. Never driven by its vendor the 104 miles were tallied up solely by Morgan during the delivery of the car! Residing in the vendors private and significant collection of performance cars, this must surely be the lowest mileage example in existence. Offered in the desirable colour combination of metallic blue paintwork with a dark blue hood over a cream leather interior the Morgan presents in excellent order. The BMW V8 engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox making for a superb driving experience. Offered with a history file including the current V5C registration document and all relevant Morgan booklets, the registration number MM19 MMM is also included in the sale of the car. This, in our opinion is the holy grail of Morgan ownership and we are sure it will be keenly contested at auction.
