Using modern build techniques, drag coefficients and powered by a state-of-the-art, all-alloy V12 engine, this was a 'first' for a production Aston Martin and this modern masterpiece was subjected to more testing and development work than any of the marque's previous models.
Equipped with all-round independent suspension, and either a new six-speed manual or ZF five-speed automatic with manually selectable ratios, as this example is equipped with, indeed the 15" diameter wheels too were unique to the Vantage which also featured cross-drilled and ventilated Brembo disc brakes and equipped with ABS.
With just 67,000 miles covered from new, this has been cherished by the vendor since he acquired it some two years ago with trips to Le Mans and other GT-style events. When not used, it is stored, garaged, and under a (supplied) cover.
Other noteworthy features include a mesh grille and new tyres on unmarked alloy wheels. Finished in Solent Silver with a magnolia leather interior piped in blue, the overall condition is extremely good and is said to drive beautifully. It is offered with a comprehensive service history as can be seen on the Historics website, its original leather handbook, an MoT test certificate valid for a full year and a V5C registration document.
