The Ford Sierra RS Cosworth is a performance-oriented version of the Sierra family car produced by Ford Europe in the mid-1980s. The car was developed by Ford's motorsport division, which aimed to create a high-performance vehicle that could compete in rallies and racing. The Sierra RS Cosworth was equipped with a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine that produced 204 horsepower and 214 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the fastest cars of its time. The car was fitted with a limited-slip differential, which helped to improve its handling and traction on both road and track. The exterior of the Sierra RS Cosworth was designed with aerodynamics in mind, featuring a distinctive front grille, a large rear spoiler, and wider wheel arches to accommodate its wider track. Inside, the car was fitted with Recaro bucket seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, as well as a range of gauges and dials to monitor the car's performance. The Sierra RS Cosworth proved to be a successful rally car, winning several championships and races throughout the 1980s and 1990’s.

This excellent and very original 1986 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth was purchased by the current owner in 2014 when the car had only covered 72,500 miles and put into his private collection. While in his ownership he has only driven 1,400 miles. He has also had the wheels refurbished and the Recaro seats renovated shortly after he acquired the car. Finished in the classic Ford colour scheme of Moonstone Blue paintwork with grey cloth interior, this lovely example is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in October 2023 and a file containing old MoT test certificates and invoices. Today, it remains a popular choice amongst car enthusiasts and collectors, thanks to its striking design, impressive performance and rich motorsport heritage.
