A total of 1,086 Vanquish S models were manufactured between 2005 and 2007 and were debuted at the 2004 Paris Motor Show. Offering a power increase from 460bhp to 520bhp, other changes included new wheels, a slightly different nose shape, new raised boot lid with a larger integrated spoiler and the addition of a small front splitter for aerodynamic reasons which help the Vanquish S boast an improved drag coefficient. The car also featured an optional Sports Dynamic Package which incorporated sportier suspension, steering and larger brakes than the slandered V12 Vanquish. With a top speed exceeding 200mph, the Vanquish S was, at the time, the fastest Aston Martin ever produced.
This Aston Martin was reportedly originally specified for and driven by Dr. Ulrich Bez, the then CEO of Aston Martin. Rumour has it that he came across the Morning Frost colour and liked it so much that he decided this would be the only Vanquish built in that colour. The car was driven by Bez and occasionally used as a press car. This car has been heavily photographed over the years and featured on the front and rear cover of EVO magazine. A second Vanquish was manufactured in 2007 for Dr. Bez, this was also in Morning Frost. It is known only a small number of Vanquishes were produced in this colour and sent to the Middle East making the colour extremely rare. This Aston Martin had a rather Germanesque green check interior and in 2008 the car was sent by renowned trimmer Afzal Kahn to Germany to be retrimmed in the black guise it is in today. Supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in March 2024 and the original service books which shows that it has been regularly serviced, the last been carried out by the Aston Martin main dealer, HWM in Walton on Thames. This Aston Martin has been fully maintained having any work required carried out. The Vanquish S is a comfortable and luxurious grand tourer, with ample space for two passengers and their luggage. The car's suspension and brakes are also finely tuned to provide a smooth and enjoyable driving experience, even on long journeys.
