The German word Gelandewagen translates as ‘cross country vehicle’. This abbreviates to G-Wagen and is a fitting name for the four-wheel drive luxury SUV manufactured by Magna Steyr in Austria and sold by Mercedes-Benz. The G-Wagen has enjoyed an impressive build run of over 40 years, during which time notable owners have included the Vatican who took delivery of a specially made G-Wagen which included a clear top and served as the Popemobile, a car that now has permanent residence in the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart.

The condition of this G-Wagen is a testament to our vendors attention to detail, he is the cars second owner and during his 10-year tenure this impressive Mercedes has barely seen 1,000 miles a year use. The car presents spotlessly in gleaming Black coachwork with a black leather interior. The stunning condition is complemented with a tremendous level of equipment which includes a factory fitted sunroof, rear screen entertainment, privacy glass, illuminated AMG treadplates, gold coloured brake calipers and sidesteps. The V8 Kompressor engine fired up with a reassuring growl through its side mounted exhaust pipes when requested and if you doubted the cars power it leaves very little to the imagination. These 4x4 from Mercedes-Benz have reached ‘cult’ status amongst enthusiasts and this genuine example is ready for a new owner.
