The XK8 was launched in 1996 to replace the XJ-S. Two body styles were produced, a coupé and a convertible and the car was the first in the Jaguar line-up to use Jaguar's newly developed V8 engine. In 2000, the supercharged XKR was added to the range. This produced a staggering 503 horsepower, a subtle rear spoiler, wire mesh front grille and red exterior emblems were identifying features.
This facelift 4.2 supercharged example was originally registered on 23rd November 2006 and presents in the subtle yet elegant colour combination of slate grey metallic with a contrasting ivory leather interior. This low mileage example shows only two previous owners and we are told has been maintained by franchised dealers Stratstone and North One. With an engine that has ample power available and a gearbox offering seamless automatic changes, or the option of paddle shift, as well as impressive braking. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until December 2022, this XKR Convertible is absolutely ready to jump into and enjoy immediately.
