Lot 120 - 1999 TVR Griffith 500
|£18,000 - £23,000
The TVR Griffith, later models being referred to as the Griffith 500, is a sports car designed and built by TVR, starting production in 1991, and ending production in 2002. Although the Griffith was almost mechanically identical to its sister car, the Chimaera, it had a different body design and was produced in much smaller numbers.
By modern standards, the claimed acceleration figures of 0 – 60 mph in just over 4.0 seconds for the TVR Griffith 500 renders it still a quick car; but by the standards of the early 1990s, it was a four-wheeled rocket ship! This low mileage example presents in beautiful dark metallic blue with a cream leather interior. We are informed that this Griffith drives like a dream. It is presented with a file containing service history and various bills and receipts. The vendor also tells us that prior to collection this Griffith 500 will be serviced and will be given a fresh MoT test certificate.
