Registered new in 1988 the XJS-C resided in the Preston area until 1998 when it was acquired by its second owner who exported the car to Northern Ireland. The mileage at the time, as recorded on the MoT test certificate, was 26,291. Later in 2003 the Jaguar was once again sold with the recorded mileage of just 30,423. At which point it was kept in a church building in Belfast and left unused, until it resurfaced in 2014 and was treated to various recommissioning and an MoT test with a recorded mileage of 30,735. Acquired by Select Cars of Grimsby in 2015 who commissioned various works to the car. The previous owner purchased the car in 2016 with a recorded mileage of 31,400 and the current vendor acquired the vehicle in 2021 to form part of his private collection.
The bodywork and interior are in very good condition and the Jaguar has recently been fitted with a new set of tyres and has benefitted from a comprehensive service and new battery. The tools and covers for the top are still in good order and the spare wheel has never been used.
Offered with its cherished registration number, Jaguar toolkit and indoor car cover. The Jaguar also comes complete with a comprehensive history file (including the Northern Ireland registration booklet) confirming work carried out along with dated MoT test certificates warranting mileages, various sundry invoices, the XJS repair and operation manual, and its current UK registration document.
