It has remained in production, in various guises and model years in the seven decades since then making the SL the second longest single series ever produced by the German manufacturer.
Registered in August 1982 this R107 series 500SL presents well in blue which is complemented by a blue checked interior, the blue soft top is generally in good order and the car is supplied with a body coloured factory hardtop. The standard features on this iconic Mercedes-Benz include limited slip differential, heated rear screen, electric windows and central locking. The optional extras added include rear seats, and the popular 14” Bundt style alloys. The file that accompanies this car includes an original service book showing 20 stamps, a photographic history of an earlier restoration and various bills and receipts. Presented to auction with a V5C registration document and a valid MoT test certificate, this classic Mercedes is ready to be enjoyed.
