- John Cooper Works model
- Rebuilt engine circa 30,000 miles ago
Introduced in 2001, the hatchback Mini was the first model of the new generation and back then was simply known as Mini. It was available in Cooper, Cooper S and One variations. In many European markets, the Mini One was powered by a 1.4 litre version but all other petrol powered Minis used the 1.6 litre version. The names Cooper and Cooper S, used for the sportier version of the classic Mini, came from the involvement of John Cooper and the Cooper Car Company. The John Cooper Works model was further refined consisting of an uprated induction system, exhaust and ECU remap, which raised power by 17bhp.
This John Cooper Works example is in good order throughout and comes complete with an extensive service history. It benefits from having a rebuilt engine which was completed circa 30,000 miles ago along with other works including a new timing chain kit, new water pump and new clutch. Huge amounts of money have been spent on this example which is detailed in the history file. Offered with a sizeable paperwork file including extensive service history, previous MoT test certificate, its UK V5 registration document and a MoT test certificate valid until 1st February 2022. Interested parties should note that in 2013 this example was recorded as a category D insurance loss.
