The Spider designation for the open top sports cars originates from the word, speeder, and a two-person open horse carriage. The Alfa Romeo 105/115 Series Spider was produced from 1966 to 1993, remaining in production for almost three decades with only minor aesthetic and mechanical changes. Widely regarded as a design classic, this fourth series version of production came with further mechanical and cosmetic changes. Mechanical changes saw the introduction of the Bosch Motronic electronic fuel injection with an electric fan and cosmetically, losing its front under bumper spoiler and the rear boot spoiler, picking up 164-style rear lights stretching across the width of the car together with colour coordinated plastic bumpers.

This left hand drive example is presented in Rosso with Tan Alcantara interior and was sold new in 1990. It is believed to have spent the majority of its life in the Pisa area of Italy until importation into the UK in May 2017. A significant amount of recommissioning was undertaken when the car entered the UK, consisting of new Pirelli tyres, new brake calipers, new seat covers, new carpets, new interior door panels, overhauled prop-shaft, new front shock absorbers, new exhaust system, new column switches, and a major service. It was registered with the DVLA in February 2019 and has had only one UK based owner with minimal use while forming part of a large collection of Italian cars and motorcycles. The car has a current MoT test certificate which expires in June 2022. Please note that the odometer and speedometer have recently stopped working.
