The 993 Turbo, introduced in mid 1995, retained a tight hold on the torch of the most powerful 911 variant whilst continuing the general development and improvements to the breed as a whole. Amongst the new features on the Turbo was an electronically controlled, viscous coupling, all-wheel-drive system - something Porsche had not offered on a turbocharged model since the 959 and a system that greatly improved the drivability of the car. Under the engine cover, now topped with a sculpted spoiler tail with downturned edges, lived the 3.6 litre, flat-six force-fed by twin K16 turbos. Combined with bigger brakes, fatter tyres, a wide body, and lower stance, the 993 Turbo was one of the fastest cars on the planet. With all four wheels helping to evenly distribute great handfuls of power, 0-60mph was dispatched in a staggering 3.7 seconds, 100mph whistled by in a further 5.7 seconds and the linear forward thrust continued until the speedometer needle had said goodbye to 180mph and you were on conversational terms with the horizon.

Finished in Arena Red metallic with black full leather interior and black carpets, this 993 Turbo has been SORN since 2015, only recommissioned in February 2020 with very minimal mileage being covered since. Featuring 18″ Turbo hollow-spoke alloys, comfort seats with eight way electrics, period correct Blaupunkt stereo upgrade, graduated tint windscreen, on-board computer, climate controlled air conditioning, full extended leather, tracker, electric sunroof, high level third brake light, electric windows, electric mirrors, ABS, power steering, remote central locking and Thatcham alarm/immobiliser security, this is a thoroughly well-sorted and superbly presented 993 Turbo. Crucially without showing any of the normal windscreen and rear screen corrosion, it is beautifully original throughout, and drives extremely well, never failing to raise a smile as the turbos do their work! This car has been thoroughly well maintained and has an excellent invoice supported service history dating back to its manufacture in 1996 including the stamps, all previous MOT’s, Porsche’s Certificate of Authenticity, full book pack and two keys. This example of this German marque is presented in one of the best colour combinations and, taking into account its mileage, presents in exemplary condition.
