The Porsche 991 is the internal designation for the seventh generation of the Porsche 911, unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show on 15th September as the replacement for the 997. The 991 was an entirely new platform, only the third since the original 911 launched in 1963 (the 996 of 1999 was the second new platform). Introduced in 2012, the 991 Turbo has a twin turbocharged 3.8 litre flat-six engine generating 513bhp and 457lb⋅ft of torque with all-wheel drive. The Turbo comes as standard with Porsche's PDK dual clutch transmission and is the first Turbo model to not feature a manual transmission. New technologies featuring adaptive aerodynamics and rear wheel steering are included as standard in what was a leap in 911 engineering.
This stunning Guards Red with Agate and Pebble Grey leather 991 Gen. 1 Turbo Cabriolet boasts just one former keeper and is presented with a full Porsche main dealer service history which includes a full comprehensive service this year and is still under Porsche main dealer warranty which can thus be extended by the new owner. First registered 19th March 2014, this example was specified with £4,614 of optional extras including Sport Chrono package, two-tone leather package, Carrera white instrument dials, sport design exterior mirrors and Park Assist front and rear bringing the final list price to £122,963. In spectacular condition inside and out testament to the low mileage and ownership of this fabulous motorcar which not only can be used as a daily driver but can then surge from 0-60mph in little over three seconds.
