The Mercedes-Benz G-Class or G-Wagon, short for Geländewagen (cross-country vehicle) is characterised by its boxy styling and body-on-frame construction. It uses three fully locking differentials, one of the few vehicles to have such a feature. The G-Class is still in production and is one of the longest produced Mercedes-Benz in Daimler's history. It was developed as a military vehicle from a suggestion by the Shah of Iran and offered as a civilian version in 1979. The first major refinements were introduced in 1981, including an automatic transmission, air conditioning, an auxiliary fuel tank, protective headlamp grilles and a cable winch. Fuel injection became available in 1982 when the 230GE was introduced in Turin, along with more comfortable and supportive front seats, auxiliary heating, wider tyres and bumper flares.

This stunning left hand drive G-Wagon is fitted with the impressive and highly desirable B11 Brabus engine. Imported into the UK in 2018, the car underwent some major restoration work by the respected craftsmen from Auto Audio in London and as such today presents in superb condition. The white coachwork is unmarked and the unique Tartan interior offers a very regal and traditional ambience. However, it is the specification of this magnificent vehicle that really makes it stand out from the crowd. Start the V8 AMG engine with its custom-built exhaust system and switchable valve sounds amazing. Brabus front and rear bumpers together with the wheel arches have been painted in black offering a great contrast to the rest of the car. Brabus side steps have been fitted and the Brabus logo has been stitched into the headrests. The brake calipers are painted in red and it is worth noting new discs and pads, both front and rear, were fitted in November 2019 at a cost of £3,919. A top of the range satellite navigation system isfitted and this Mercedes-Benz also comes with Xenon headlamps. Sitting proudly on 20 inch Brabus black alloy wheels with new Scorpion winter tyres, the quality and specification of this G-Wagon really have to be seen to be fully appreciated. This car has been looked after in a ‘no expense manner’.
