The 75 was introduced in May 1985 to replace the Giulietta (with which it shared many components) and was named to celebrate Alfa’s 75th year of production. The body, designed by head of Alfa Romeo Centro Stile Ermanno Cressoni, was styled in a striking wedge shape, tapering at the front with square headlights and a matching grille. It also featured some unusual technical features, most notably was the fact that it was almost perfectly balanced from front to rear. A then-advanced dashboard-mounted diagnostic computer, called Alfa Romeo Control, capable of monitoring the engine systems and alerting the drivers of potential faults was also fitted to the 75 model.
This very well presented Alfa Romeo 75 QV was manufactured in 1992 and first registered in the UK in 2004. This Alfa is the Italian limited edition QV model and comes complete with Recaro interior, an IMSA rear spoiler and BBS wheels. This car has been recently restored to a very high standard at a cost of circa £20,000. Included in the sale is a sizeable history file detailing previous maintenance work, the current V5 registration document, various sundry invoices and a MoT test certificate valid until 2nd July 2021. As Alfa Romeo 75 QV models continues to rise in value and with very few being in such good order this example is an opportunity not to be missed.
