Lot 103 - 2002 Notone 883
|Sold - £6,160
- Norton looks with Harley Davidson engineering
- Complete custom build
In 2002 Harley-Davidson introduced the new XL883R which is modelled after the 1970 XR-750. Unlike all other 2002 Sportster models, it came with a two in one exhaust. It was also the only 2002 883 model with dual front disc brakes. Harley-Davidson XL Sportster 883R has, at its heart, an air-cooled 883cc, Evolution V-Twin engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission and could produce 66Nm of torque at 4500rpm. An agile yet performance-oriented machine that came as standard with a curved chrome two-one exhaust system and dual front disc brakes.
Originally registered on 28th March 2002 as a Harley-Davidson, this custom bike is a modern Harley-Davidson with British iconic Norton looks and being the XL883R model has an 883 engine at its core. Displaying 88 on the rear, this café racer appearance is as evocative as the Notone badge and a slice of modern performance with classic looks, this complete custom build reflects as a true British classic.
