The Bug is recognisable from a mile away, and rightly so. With over 23 million units sold over its incredible 81-year production run, it is of no surprise that these can often be found in all four corners of the globe as well as in most significant car collections on the planet. It is from one such collection that this example hails. Acquired with a view to restore back to its original perfect condition, it has been owned for the last 10 years with only partial progress made. Its restoration began with the relevant items taken off, the paint stripped back to bare metal and primed. The 1600cc engine was reported to run well when the paintwork began and there is no reason to suggest that this is still not the case. We are informed that all parts still accompany the vehicle although this is unverified and should be checked prior to purchase. Initially red, it is offered without reserve and represents an exciting opportunity for the next owner to finish as wished.
