The Aston Martin V8 Coupé was introduced in 1996 as a development of the original Virage model. Powered by a revised version of the 32 valve 5.3 litre V8 engine, the V8 coupé was a much improved car due to the investment of the Ford Motor Company resources. The styling cues followed that of the Vantage but without bonnet vents and wide wheels. The distinguished look included a new mesh radiator grille and air intakes in the front spoiler, giving a purposeful aerodynamic stance. This model formed part of the Aston Martin range for just three years and is one of the rarer members of the modern V8 family.
This imposing Aston Martin was originally registered on 5th December 1997 and has had only two previous keepers. This matching numbers V8 Coupé presents very well and is finished in Mendip Blue with a beautiful contrasting Parchment leather interior, piped in blue with blue Wilton carpets. The first owner of this Aston Martin enjoyed the car for 18 years and kept the car well maintained by Stratstone Aston Martin of Wilmslow. The mileage of 29,900 is warranted and supported by a very well stamped service book, generally by main dealers but latterly by marque specialists. The most recent service was carried out by R.S. Williams only 975 miles ago at a cost of £9,713; hence the car is ready to be enjoyed immediately. These are good specification vehicles with electric seats, air conditioning and cruise control, this example also has a sports exhaust fitted thus enhancing the delightful note of the V8 engine. Supplied with a V5C registration document, a current MoT test certificate valid until 17th October 2020 and the original service books. With only 101 examples of the V8 Coupé manufactured by Aston Martin, the shrewd investor will certainly see the potential in these cars.
