Lot 107 - 1998 Rover 100 Ascot Edition
|Sold - £3,113
The 1990 Rover Metro was announced to the world with one simple word: 'Metromorphosis'. It might have looked like the 1980 original, but thanks to all new K-Series engines under the bonnet and intelligent suspension modifications which gave excellent ride quality, the Metro emerged as a class-leading supermini. To drive, it really was a whole new ball game, with sweet spinning engines, supple ride and Rover 200 seats up front with a re-angled steering column for a big car driving position. In January 1995, the Metro was given its final facelift as the Rover 100.
This stunning little Rover 100, presented in Kingfisher Blue, is one of the aptly named Ascot Special editions and has covered a mere 15,000 miles from new. Produced in 1997 but first registered in April 1998, we are informed that the car comes with a comprehensive service history and accompanying invoices together with Haynes manual, original sales brochure and owner’s handbook. A great little car in fabulous condition.
