Alfa Romeo’s post-war reinvention as a sports car manufacturer ensured the brand’s survival; however, enthusiasts were left wanting until the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show when Alfa Romeo honoured its racing past with the 8C Competizione show car. Nearly 1,500 orders were placed before the V8 powered production variant debuted in Detroit. Under its carbon fibre body, which stayed true to the concept, the 8C Competizione used a Ferrari derived 4.7 litre, V8 rated at 450bhp. Just 1,000 examples were built, split evenly between a coupé and a roadster.

One of 500 roadsters manufactured, this UK delivered Alfa Romeo 8C Spider is a true collectors item. It is presented in stunning Competizione Red with black softtop and a full red ‘twisted’ leather interior, designed to match the classic Alfas of the 1960s and the most desirable combination. Being one of only 35 that were delivered to the UK, this example was supplied new to its first owner, Mr. John William Studholme of Boston, Lincolnshire and registered as HF10 CPO on 24th March 2010.
This stunning car was well specified from the factory when new with a list of options which include multi-layer mica-finished colour ‘Rosso 8C Competizione’, ‘twisted’ full grain leather seats and door cards, full carbon kit including carbon driving zone, Bose surround sound system, silver colour brake calipers, branded floor mats edged in matching leather and internal leather handle, leather and carbon roll hoops and sports branding (painted clover leaves on the front wings). It also comes with the original 8C branded charger and Spider fitted cover.

The car was last serviced at 9,277 miles with Graypaul, having been a clearly well cared for collectors example the full history is as follows;

6th January 2011, Graypaul, 249 miles
28th September 2011, Graypaul, 3,172 miles
9th October 2012, Graypaul, 5,991 miles
10th May 2014 Graypaul, 5,996 miles
23rd April 2015, Graypaul, 6,108 miles
30th March 2017, Maranello, 8,476 miles
6th April 2018, Joe Macari, 8,954 miles
20th April 2019, Graypaul, 9,277 miles

This is a jaw-droppingly beautiful, very highly specified and rare Alfa Romeo 8C in absolutely fabulous condition, it would make an excellent investment car for a collector and importantly, it is a UK delivered car presented in the only colour for an 8C… Competizione Red.
