- Stunning low mileage example
- Just two former keepers
The R129 Mercedes-Benz models were produced from 1989 through to 2001 and were sold under the SL-Class model names. They replaced the R107 SL-Class and, in turn, were subsequently replaced by the R230 in 2001. Based on the shortened floorpan of the Mercedes-Benz W124 saloon, the R129 featured many innovative details for the time; for example, electronically controlled shock absorbers (optional) and a hidden, automatically extending roll-over bar. The level of standard equipment was high, with electrically operated windows, mirrors, seats and convertible hood.
This pristine example of the R129 SL320 was first registered on the 13th May 1999, importantly a later car post revision this example has had just two former keepers from new one of which who cherished the car for 18 years and has covered just 44,000 miles. A rare treat this car is completely standard still boasting the original mats. From new, the options included wooden steering wheel, original Audio 10 cd player and heated seats which are tear free and clean. The wheels are all unmarked having been powder coated two years ago and the car has a hard top with accompanying stand and still boasts the wind deflector with the cover housed in the boot. Accompanied by an MoT test certificate until May 2020 and history file including the original book pack. With low mileage and ownership and a favourable colour combination, the late model cars are the most practical and arguably most desirable, this is a lovely future classic in stunning order begging to be enjoyed and treasured.
