Lot 221 - 2007 Mercedes-Benz S500

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a luxury saloon and was officially introduced in 1972 with the W116 S-Class which succeeded previous Mercedes-Benz models dating back to the mid-1950s. As the flagship of the Mercedes-Benz line-up, the S-Class has debuted many of the company's latest innovations including drive train technologies, interior features and safety systems (such as seatbelt pretensioners). The W220 S-Class was completely restyled in 1999 with a body that was slightly smaller and lighter than its predecessor. Production of the W220 S-Class totalled 485,000 units; slightly more than the production totals of its predecessor. As with each new S-Class, the W220 brought in new innovations such as Airmatic air suspension and Active Ventilated Seats (which used miniature fans in the seats to move air through perforations). The W221 model introduced in 2005 is slightly larger in all dimensions than its predecessor. The interior was completely new, all materials have been upgraded and make for a more luxurious ride, and the centre console transmission gear lever has been replaced with a column-mounted selector. 

This one owner S500 was supplied by Mercedes-Benz World on 23^rd March 2007 and presents in beautiful condition. The black coachwork is unmarked as is the well equipped tan interior. The specification of this car is superb with heated electric memory seats, air conditioning, cruise control and entertainment package to the rear with TV monitors set in the headrests. The 5462cc engine burst into life when requested and we are advised she drives with no known faults. This is an exceptional car that is in outstanding condition. Supplied with a V5C registration document together with an MoT test certificate valid until 31^st March 2020 together with the original handbooks.
