No stretch of the imagination would have described the first generation of the now iconic Range Rover as luxurious. These first models had basic, utilitarian interior that featured vinyl seats, plastic dashboards and were designed to be washed out by hose. The Range Rover was built as a body-on frame design with a box section, ladder type chassis similar to contemporary Land Rovers and enjoyed similar off-road capability. To maintain the popularity of this already successful model, Land Rover enhanced the Range Rover specification to include power assisted steering, carpeted floors and air conditioning
Originally registered in December 1993, this manual transmission, diesel example presents in the classic colour combination of dark green with a grey velour interior. This Vogue specified car benefits from power steering, air conditioning and is fitted with a tow bar making this iconic car extremely capable as well as being well equipped. Offered to auction with a V5C registration certificate and an MoT test certificate valid until July 2020 this Range Rover is accompanied by a file containing a stamped service book, various bills and receipts. The owner tells us that this Range Rover has proven reliable during his tenure. Offered without reserve.
