The 997 is the replacement model for the 996. It has kept the 996's basic profile with an even lower 0.28 drag coefficient but draws on the 993 for detailing. In addition, the new headlights revert to the original bug-eye design, drifting from the teardrop scheme of the 996. Its interior is also similarly revised with strong links to the earlier 911 interiors while at the same time looking fresh and modern.
This handsome 997 Carrera 2S is offered in the ever desirable metallic grey with full black leather trim coupled to the optional upgraded sports seats. Importantly, in 2018, this example had a full engine rebuild by a well renowned Porsche Specialist which included new liners and pistons, new clutch and flywheel and all of the coolant pipes replaced, invoices for this can be found within the history file. Further optional extras included 19" sports alloy wheels, Xenon lights, navigation package, sports exhaust, and, being a later car, has the uprated IMS bearing. The 997 is a fabulous looking car and this example is no exception, described by the vendor as rattle free with no adverse noises from the suspension and offered with a very attractive estimate, viewing is highly recommended.
