The CB72 was a complete game changer when it arrived in the UK in 1963. A sixties teenager's dream with inclined, twin-cylinder overhead camshaft engine sitting in a race style spine frame, with 8" twin leading shoe brakes to both the front and rear. The 180° parallel twin was almost over-engineered, and of course, because each cylinder fired separately, they each required a carburettor and two sets of contact breaker points. The engine, in typical Honda fashion, was a stressed member of the frame, and the handling was very good.

This original UK supplied 1966 Honda CB72 250cc Super Sport was purchased in 2015 by the current owner, a specialist film rental company, just after the motorcycle had been fully restored. Finished in black and chrome, this has had four owners from new and has been in many television soaps in the UK including EastEnders. This 250 Super Sport is supplied with a V5C registration document and a few old MoT test certificates. Probably the defining motorcycle for any Honda enthusiast, this handsome and beautifully engineered machine is offered here without reserve.
