The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is a luxury car that was manufactured from 1965 to 1980 and was the first to use unitary body and chassis construction in response to concerns that the company was falling behind in automotive innovation. The original Shadow was 3½" narrower and 7" shorter than the Silver Cloud however the car managed to offer increased passenger and luggage space thanks to more efficient packaging made possible by unitary construction. Aside from a more modern appearance and construction, the Silver Shadow introduced many new features such as disc rather than drum brakes and independent rear suspension. The Wraith II is identified by all alterations found on the Silver Shadow II and additionally an Everflex covered roof, a smaller rear opera-style window and different wheel covers. Some Silver Wraith II’s were also fitted with electric divisions.

During the vendors tenure the car was regularly maintained by Rolls-Royce specialists, Hofmann's of Henley. Since being in his ownership, this Silver Wraith II has never been used in the rain and has been kept in a heated garage. In 2007, the odometer in the speedometer stopped working for a period of time, this fault has been rectified. Finished in Midnight Blue with black Everflex roof and cream Connolly hide interior, it is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in April 2020 and a history file containing the old registration documents, invoices from Hofmann's of Henley and old MoT test certificates going back to 1999.
