With a production run that has lasted more 70 years, the F range can be described as phenomenally successful. Of all the 13 generations it is the third which was on sale between 1957 and 1960 and that is arguably the most interesting F series of all. Not just because it stylistically links the old with the new but because it mix of curves and straight-line functionality looks so cool.
This F1 100 ‘Rat Rod’ is fitted with a modern 5.0 litre V8 engine. It is described by the vendor as having 'lots' of power and from the sound of it, we believe him. Fitted with power steering and upgraded brakes, the vendor also informs us that this pick-up is a tremendous amounts of fun to drive. The painted on ‘rust’ effect bodywork confirms this trucks 'wolf in sheep's clothing' status. Offered for sale with a V5C registration document this classic pick-up would look superb at one of the many American classic car shows.
