In the motoring world the name Mercedes-Benz SL is synonymous with elegance, style and high quality engineering. The name has been in use since 1954 and was first used on the famous 300 SL of that year. The model has enjoyed numerous engine configurations and spans five design generations. R107 is the manufacturers codename for the SL range that was produced between 1971 and 1989 and during its considerable reign, it was powered by eight different engines.
This 380 SL Roadster is presented in the classic colour combination of dark brown with a contrasting cream interior and is in good condition throughout. The 380 has perhaps the best balance of the model line-up featuring the desirable V8 engine. This 380 SL has been in the current owners tenure for eight years and is described as being tremendous fun to drive. The history file for this modern classic contains various bills and receipts, a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until December 2019.
