On its debut, the 996 featured the most significant changes to the Carrera model since its 1963 introduction, namely the water-cooled engine replacing the previously air-cooled unit. Other changes included a sleeker body with a more steeply raked windshield and a redesigned interior. The performance characteristics remained superb with reliability at its core.

This lovely convertible example is presented in metallic blue with matching blue leather interior. It comes with a good service history, six Porsche main dealer services, four Porsche specialist services, two other specialist services and one local service – all services have been carried out at regular mileage intervals. The first owner had ordered this car with many factory extras including Xenon lights, satellite navigation, climate control, Bluetooth, sports exhaust and 18 inch Carrera wheels to name a few (a list of all extras can be seen on file). Also to be included in the sale is the factory hard top which comes with its own stand and hard top bag. This is a particularly nice example of this generation of the Porsche 911 (996) and with all the extras it beholds, it surely is one of best available.

Interested parties should note that to save any confusion owing to what is written in the catalogue and online, this is not a Carrera 4S but a Carrera 4.
