The 911 benefitted from some extraordinary colour schemes in the 1970s and 80s, the purple 911 complemented the brown one which, in turn, matched the viper green one. The external colour scheme continued to the interior as well with black and white chequered tombstone seating and contrasting piping. Fortunately, this period chic carried over to the 928 with period chequered seats in these front-engined supercars.
Starting with the sumptuous leather seating, these are classic alternate blue and white units, in good order with all electric adjustments working well. Power delivery is smooth and unrelenting as with all these aluminium bodied cars pushing out 320bhp from its five litre engine. In order to keep this ticking over correctly, an engine rebuild took place in 1997 by Porsche Pickup Motorsport costing £9,785. It was serviced five months ago with an additional 13 stamps in the history file. Indeed, over the last 20 years, some £8,000 has been expended on this motorcar to include a brand new aluminium radiator. With an MoT test expiring not until December this year, this represents, a cool way to enjoy the British country lanes this summer.
