Professor Dr. F Porsche designed four tractors by the early 1950’s comprising of one, two, three and four-cylinder models. All the models incorporated individual and interchangeable cylinders and heads making for ease of production and thereafter maintenance and repair. Many thousands were produced of which a large quantity have now fallen into disrepair but you can still find these tractors working on small holdings throughout Europe. However, these tractors are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike which have been instrumental in price increases.
The tractor on sale here is a Porsche Allgaier model A111 of 1954 vintage, some refer to it as the Junior Tractor. It is a diesel, single cylinder, air cooled, engine of 822cc developing 12hp with four forward and four reverse gears. This superb farm vehicle has been fully restored by the well renowned Porsche specialist, Pie Porsche in Suffolk. The tractor, presented in green, is in excellent condition and starting is extremely easy with a strong engine willing to work either on a farm or small holding or just the casual chug, chug down to the pub!
