Lot 278 - 1999 Jaguar XJ8 (4.0 litre)
|Sold - £3,396
The Jaguar Saloon launched in 1997 was codenamed X308 by the manufacturer and badged as an XJ8 for the market place. Both names make reference to the new model line-ups V8 power unit. Available as either a 3200cc or 4000cc version. The exterior styling was similar to the previous model with some minor refinements. The interior received a pleasing makeover with a much softer, more modern, look to the dashboard.
This XJ8 4.0 litre presents extremely well in white with an Oatmeal full leather interior. In addition to the high level of standard equipment enjoyed by all XJ8 models which includes air conditioning and automatic transmission, this particularly well equipped Jaguar has had a huge amount of well thought out options added. These include Celtic alloy wheels, electric tilt and slide sunroof, electrically operated and heated front seats, a wood and leather steering wheel, a heated front windscreen and a bonnet mounted leaping Jaguar mascot. This car is presented to auction with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until February 2020. Also included in the sale is the cherished number plate 245 DXY. This handsome Jaguar was not only chosen well but has also been well looked after. The service book shows ten service stamps with the last service being completed in February this year. Offered at no reserve and including a cherished plate, this Jaguar represents fantastic value.
