After being taken over by Daimler-Benz, there were several AMG SL models available. The SL60 AMG was the most numerous of these rare cars. Sold from 1993 to 1998, it used a six litre, V8 engine producing 381PS at 5500rpm. AMG claimed a 0 to 62mph speed of 5.6 seconds. Its top speed was limited to 155mph, but with the limiter removed, it was capable of approximately 185mph. This excellent SL 60 AMG, one of only 49 righthand drive cars supplied in the UK, was kept by the Mercedes-Benz dealers, Woking Motors, for its first year and was made available to be used by Ron Dennis of McLaren Formula One. In August 1998, the car was sold to Bytes Technology Group who kept it until 200. In 2001, when the car had covered 39,124 miles, a new AMG engine was fitted, in the same year the car changed hands and became the property of Peter Morgan, who had the car until May 2018. In his ownership this SL 60 AMG was fully maintained and regularly serviced. Recent work carried out on the car include a service, two new rear road springs, front anti-roll bar bushes and a new catalectic converter, all at a cost of over £2,500.
