The Lamborghini Gallardo is important in the history of the Sant Agata firm as it represents the most successful model in their history. Both eminently usable and, importantly, reliable, the V10 sportscar had total Audi backup which made it hugely desirable and , subsequently, the most successful sportscar built from this particular carrozzeria.
Its secret lies in its light but stiff space frame chassis mounted to a five litre, V10 engine powering all four wheels on demand. Like any high performance sportscar, condition and history are key when beginning the acquisition process. There is no difference in this instance.
This 2007 Gallardo, complete with fully retractable roof, presents in exceptional condition both inside and out. The latest major service took place in July 2018 and included a genuine Lamborghini clutch kit, new front and rear EBC brake pads, refurbished and powder-coated brake callipers as well as a new MoT test all costing in excess of £7,000.
Furthermore, this rather special Gallardo, complete with a six-speed electro-hydraulically controlled gearbox (e-Gear), benefits from a complete upgrade with genuine Lamborghini Performante LP570 parts. And the devil is very much in the detail here with an alcantara interior, upgraded carbon door cards, a carbon centre console and carbon backed racing seats. Externally, you can assume correct Superleggera wheels, a carbon front spoiler and rear diffuser and carbon door mirrors.
The day-to-day is covered by reversing cameras and satellite navigation with the weekends enlivened by a Larini sports exhaust system including ceramic bypass pipes. In fact, this now represents an exact replica of the LP570 Performante in every detail except the £140,000 price tag. All invoices and MoT test certificates are available to view together with a full Lamborghini folder and the satellite navigation disk. The upgrades are sympathetic but significantly add to its kerb presence not to mention its near 200mph top speed. Quite rightly, the personalised number plate is included; YR0 5LOW (Y R U SLOW).
