The Lancia Fulvia (Tipo 818) was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 1963. Fulvias are notable for their role in motorsport, notably, winning the International Rally Championship in 1972. The Fulvia Coupé was a compact two-door coupé introduced in 1965. Like the saloon, it was designed in-house by Piero Castagnero. It was the last Fulvia model to be discontinued, being replaced only in 1977 by a 1.3 litre version of the Beta Coupé. The Coupé 1.3 S built between 1970 and 1973 had the face-lifted body and new five-speed gearbox with 1298cc engine producing 90bhp. Larger Girling calipers and pads were replaced by the Dunlop system and fitted to first series cars.
This lovely left hand drive example is presented in its original and classic blue paintwork with light cream, recently re-upholstered, seats and door cards. This is the desirable second series model with five-speed transmission. In 2017 the car had a major engine overhaul, this included a carburettor overhaul undertaken at the same time. These pretty Italian sports cars were and still are great fun to drive, they are perfect for city driving and fun on the open roads.
