The MG ZS 180 is a sports saloon car built by MG Rover between 2001 and 2005 and was the flagship vehicle produced at Rover’s Longbridge factory, being developed from the Rover 45 but just as the Rover was a luxury saloon the MG was produced as a sporting saloon. Leaning heavily on the Honda heritage at the time by utilising the double wishbone front suspension, fully independent multi-link rear suspension and uprated springs and shock absorbers giving the MG a lower, firmer ride with better handling. The braking system was improved with larger disc brakes front and rear as well as ABS and EBS assistance. The ZS 180 was fitted with 2.5 litre V6 24 valve four cam engine producing 175 BHP giving an official top speed of 139 MPH with 0-60 in 7.3 seconds. Visually the 180 has a deep front bumper with a bib spoiler and built in fog lights with lower side sills, a large rear wing was offered as an option but 17” sports alloy wheels with 205 tyres came as standard.

This one owner vehicle supplied by Wrights of Boston Lancashire was first registered on 12th December 2003 with the private registration number W8 GAF that is still registered to the vehicle today. The service book is stamped up to 2008 with an odometer reading of 24,273 miles, there were two more MOT test certificates issued to W8 GAF showing a recorded mileage of 33,761 in 2010. The vehicle then appears to have been garaged until this year when it was re-commissioned with the speedometer reading of 34,724; there is a full MOT history with the history file. Finished in metallic black paintwork with the Monaco interior of black leather with red inserts and red panels to the dashboard and door panels makes a striking combination. The vehicle benefits from a recent set of new tyres and re-commissioning work and the vendor tells us that she drives as you would expect from a low mileage car. Still carrying the original dealer number plates and tax disc holder, the only change appears to be a later quality radio/CD player fitted. W8 GAF shows excellent investment potential being a one owner low mileage vehicle and offered for sale without reserve.
