The Rover P6 series was the last of the 'P' designated Rover designs to reach production. It was marketed first as the Rover 2000 with a completely new design and was intended to appeal to a larger number of buyers. The next generation, the 3500, was advanced for the time with a De Dion suspension at the rear and four-wheel disc brakes, indeed the P6 series was voted European Car of the Year in 1964; the very first winner of this title.
Described by the vendor as in “very good condition”, this V8 powered classic Rover P6 sports distinctive paintwork; claret and white with a black leather interior. Overall, the leather trim is tidy although some attention is required on the driver’s seat. Included is almost every MoT test certificate since 1975 as well as the most recent one expiring in February, 2019. Offered without reserve, these desirable P6s are rarely this accessible.
