Produced between 1961 and 1967, the Triumph TR4 combined a new, modern and aggressive body design by famed Italian stylist, Giovanni Michelotti, with the basic chassis of the previous TR3A. The TR4 also improved passenger comfort with wind-up windows, face-level ventilation and an optional hardtop. Today, the four cylinder TRs are among the easiest of post war classic sports cars to own and maintain, being supported by a multitude of component suppliers and other specialists.
This stunning white dash model TR4 presents very well. Originally exported to Texas in the U.S. this Triumph was privately returned to the U.K. in 2003.The car was then treated to a full ‘nut and bolt’ restoration, retrimming and conversion to right hand drive by Meon Valley classics. This lovely example retains its original steering wheel and switch gear and has featured in ‘T R’ magazine. The car is presented to auction with a V5C registration document and the vendor tells us a 12 month MoT certificate will be supplied.
