Laverda was an Italian manufacturer of high performance motorcycles. The motorcycles in their day gained a reputation for being robust and innovative. The Laverda brand was absorbed by Piaggio when, in 2004, Piaggio absorbed Aprilia. The latest evolution of the three-cylinder 1000cc of the 1980s had new aesthetic changes compared to the traditional lines, such as the details of the engine phasing from 180 degrees to 120 degrees. The RGS 1000 model (1982) was futuristic for the period, with some additions such as adjustable footrests and the tank cap in the windshield.
This example is presented in good condition and comes with UK registration documents. The bike has had new engine oil, new spark plugs and new stainless steel exhaust. This is a great touring bike with wonderful Italian heritage.
